To protect the safety and collective sobriety of the household, a resident who tests positive for illicit substances or unprescribed medications is given an immediate administrative discharge. However, we do not abandon our residents. We maintain deep roots in the Commonwealth of Virginia care network and will actively coordinate a warm hand-off to a higher level of care (detox, residential treatment, or intensive outpatient care) to ensure they remain supported.
